Britain’s Danielle Khan clinched the girl second rainbow jersey along with victory in the sprint at the Junior Monitor Cycling World Championships in Glasgow.

Khan misplaced the first race associated with her final against Belgium’s Nicky Degrendele but fought during the 2nd.

And the 17-year-old through Solihull powered home on the final corner of the decider to advantage away Degrendele.

“I came to the championships in good form but I never expected to earn one world name, let alone 2, ” Khan said.

“I made a mistake within my first race against Nicky and I experienced a bit gutted, however, you can’t also have it your way.

“I understood that I truly, really wanted the 2nd world title therefore i put everything directly into those last two rides. inch

Khan’s victory saw her copy Becky James, who won two junior globe titles last year
and went on of winning two senior titles in 2015.
